The Final Call

With my eyes closed, I spread my arms
And the wind blowing through my hair
A tear rolled down my cheek
And I know it’s not worth my care

I opened my eyes slowly
And see the setting sun,
I ask the god to forgive me
For all the wrongs I have done.

I lower my eyes and look down below
Every thing looks so tiny and small
I step on the edge and climb the railing
To honor my last and final call.

Standing on the top of 30th floor
I close my eyes again
Once again His face flashes by
And my heart started to pain

Tears rolled down my cheek
As the pain become so unbearable
After he threw me out of his life
My life has become so terrible.

I decided to end this misery
As the pain is so hard to bear
And as I was about to jump
Someone shouted “Hey Stop there”

I opened my eyes and turned back
And saw a guy with his arms up in air
I shouted back at him not to move
And just keep on standing there.

He said “if you want to jump,
I am not going to stop you;
But listen to me what I have to say
And then do whatever you want to do.

Listen to me just for ten minutes,
Cuz it’s a life and death matter;
Anyhow the result will be same,
Whether you jump now or 10 minutes later.”

I thought and decided to hear him out
Knowing that my end is not very far
I replied “Ok speak what you want to
But don’t move and be there where you are.”

He started in a calm voice
“Mine and yours is the same case,
Just half an hour ago
I was standing at your place.

I used to be a happy man
My life was a smooth ride
Friends were always supportive
My family always by my side

And then I fell in love with a girl
And thus started my love race
I sacrificed a lot of things
And I lost my whole base.

I lost my parent’s love
And lost my friends care
All because of the love for the girl
For me, who was always there.

He pauses….takes a deep breath and start again……

The girl who was once the world for me
Now she is in the arms of another man
I thought I was her life then
Now for her, I am no more than a trash can

I had lost each and everything
I was defeated in the race of my life
It was very painful and insulting
Every passing moment felt like a sharp knife

I sacrificed my present and future
For that one cute and lovely face
One fine day when she left me alone
Only death was there to embrace

Everything that I loved and cared for
Is no longer by my side
Humiliating it was to face the world
So I thought of committing suicide

My mobile started ringing
As I was about to jump and fall
That’s when I decided to stop for a minute
And answer that Final call

That call made me change my mind
And cancel my suicide decision
Now I know I need to live
Cuz my life is for a reason

Now just for your 20 month old love
You decide to end it up all
Consider the time span of 20 years
When you were your parent’s doll

There are more things to live for
Don’t give up in the way,
Remember that after every dark night
Wait and live up for a new day.

All those things I wanted to say
I have said it all
Life will call you at time when you give up
Make sure you answer that call.”

Then there was silence.

I said “if you are saying all truth
And not a single word is a lie;
Then why life didn’t call me up yet
When I was almost about to die.

He didn’t reply……but gave me a smile
And started walking back to the door
That is when the truth dawned to me
And I climbed down to the floor.

Now I know its sadness for now
But ahead its happiness in heap
All I wonder why life didn’t talked
When I was almost about to leap?

Then I Realized the Truth……

I looked at the door and thanked that guy
As tears from my eyes started to roll
It was in those long ten minutes he talked
While i answered my final call....

Death "Sentence"

The sun was shining very bright
As i look up at the sky
The day was very very hot
The flowing wind was also dry.

Moments ago, I was fighting
Firing shots with my machine-gun
And now I lie on the sand
Gazing wildly at the sun

When I was born,
My parents were happy
Cuz I was the only son

I look back to the things
As a child I have done
Everything was simple
And life was fun

Things changed, Time flew by,
And we shifted to a town
Things changed, riot broke
And then my world came crashing down

It was the most painful day
As my parents breathed last
I was left all alone
In this world so vast…..

It was my uncle who took care of me
Till the situation became a bit cool
Then unable to decide my future
He took me to an army school

The fun of my life was lost
And I was made to follow strict rules
Maps became my textbook
And guns, my hand tools….

But within this discipline
I found a new home
I found a new family of friends
Along with whom I can roam.

Soon I emerged as a complete soldier
Ever ready to serve my mother land
I was posted to a border village
Surrounded by desert sand.

The days were hot and windy
The nights were pretty cool
Due to the ceasefire condition
No gunfight and life was peaceful

Last night the promise was broken
Shelling was done in lots and heap
We ran and hide to save our life
While 14 of my friends died in their sleep

Things were getting nasty
As the enemy marched forward
We were just handful and helpless
Things were getting awkward

But our army was expecting such situation
And the reinforcement arrived soon
Thus started a bloody battle
Under the peaceful light of moon.

Hours have passed
And the war showing a rising trend
And I lay here in the hot sand
Wondering when the war will end

Now I begin to wonder……

Why do people fight
To get the world under their hand
Though all they need after their death
Is just two meters of land

For their greed they take so many lives
None of them which they own
But for them it doesn’t matter
Cuz all they need is the throne…

Suddenly a face blocks my view
Asks me “Are u OK friend”
I urged him to carry on with the war
And quickly bring it to an end

I knew our position is good
And we will force the enemy to retreat
After that I want to join my friends
In the night for their victory treat

I want to feel the proudest moment
When you win it for your nation
To sing and shout and dance and drink
In the victory celebration

Ohhh ohhhhh ohhhhhh

Why the wind is getting colder,
Is it going to rain???
The sun is getting darker and darker
And suddenly I no longer feel the pain

The noise around me getting silent
And people around are fading sight
And the truth dawns to me
I can no longer make it to victory night

My eyes are closing, my breath is stopping
I no longer feel my body or my hand
But still I am very satisfied
I lived…………. and died for my mother land.

The Kites.....

This is a story of a man
Las-Vegas was his city,
He wanted to get rich
But luck never showed any pity.

He tried every thing
To make some quick bucks,
From selling popcorn
to driving some trucks.

Illegal migrating girls
Married him for green card sake,
He earned some money
And the marriages were all fake.

And finally he end up
As a cool dancing teacher,
And presented some moves
Like a flexible spineless creature.

A disciple of his
Wanted to give him her heart,
But he denied strongly
Saying Love is not his art.

The girl was the daughter
Of a very wealthy guy,
Our Hero foolishly refused her saying things
Which were neither true nor lie.

All these years he chased money
And followed its way,
And when it came in form of a girl
He stupidly threw her away.

He said sorry to her
And asked for one chance,
And to win her heart
He made her his partner in dance.

The girl parents accepted the guy
And their relationship became strong,
And the guy was happy being rich
And expecting nothing to go wrong.

Then in came the girl’s brother
With the love of his life,
But unknown to him
The girl was our hero’s fake wife.

Our hero and his fake wife
Decided to break their tie,
For the sake of their love
Which was also a lie.

Money and not partner
About which they bother,
And they didn’t realize
They started to love each other.

The girl’s fiancĂ© grew suspicious
And raised one doubt,
Our hero tried to save her
And In process knocked him out.

Our hero and his fake wife
Realized their love for each other,
So they ran away from her fiance
Who was also hero’s dancing partner brother.

The fiance was angry on the girl
Who broke him apart,
And also on her new found love
Who was his sister’s heart.

They ran and ran and ran
From places rich to rot,
And some where in the end
They got tied in a sacred knot.

The story didn’t get over here
As her x-fiance came hunting down,
They started to run, the guy in his wedding coat
And the gal in her wedding gown.

The chase continued
In a weather humid and hot,
And they were sad
Their only friend got shot.

Then the girl got injured
And the guy got hit,
And they started to lose the war
A bit-by-bit.

She knew together they won’t survive
And decided to part their way,
She loaded him in train
& followed by the goons, she drove away.

When the hero came to senses
He started looking for his life,
Who left him in the train alone
And now was his real wife.

He started to look for her and
He met a trusted friend in his way,
His world came crashing down
When he heard what happened that day!!

The guys chased the girl
Till her car came to a complete stop.
She knew the road ended there
& no way out alive from the hill top.

She did find her true love
And now fed up with a life of lie,
So rather than submitting
She chose to die……….

The hero killed all goons
And took the villain’s life,
Then he jumped from the same cliff
To be with his love….his wife.

That’s the story of their love
Life divides and death unites,
And If you still don’t know
Then this is the story of “KITES

The Night......(during my summer internship)

It’s well past midnight,
My loneliness at its height;

I lie on the cot looking up at the sky,
I see the moon and the stars held up so high.

The vastness of the sky fills me up with delight,
Coz the twinkling stars present an awesome sight;

These shine like a million gems in the dark night,
Asking me to hold on to my hopes very tight;

It’s true I am losing hope with each and every try,
Every time I see the moon alone in the night sky.

The moon stands alone shining very bright,
Still a vast expanse of sky remains without light.

I look for the constellation where stars form a troop,
That reminds me of us all…..we as a group.

Together we walked, we ran, traveled and explored,
When we were together none of us got bored;

Together we sang, we danced, drank and ate,
Pulling each others leg was our group trait;

Together we cried, laughed and made fun of each other.
Without caring for the world…let them bother.

Gone are the days and now we face the present,
No scope of madness coz we need to be decent.

Far away from each other we face a world new,
Where colleagues are many but friends are few.

We are frustrated and pissed out here,
Longing to be back at home we called Jhabbier.

But I know there is a long wait and a long way.
Coz June comes only after April and May…..

I wish these days get over soon,
How long I can stay all alone like moon.

The loneliness out here is giving me pain,
And I wonder sometimes ….am I going insane??

I am stuck up all alone here,
Distance from u all is hard to bear;

It pains finding u all not around,
Missing u all in this silent sound,

A silent whisper, a secluded tear;
How I wish you all could be here!!!
